Since 2016, the rugged woodlands of Indianapolis’ Eagle Creek Park has hosted this winter trail tradition. Runners of all ages and abilities are invited to tackle the trails of one of Indiana's most iconic natural courses.

Results will be posted almost immediately. Top 3 Overall awards are presented as soon as the 3rd place male/female finisher crosses the line.
Age-group awards will be given to the Top 3 males/females, and can be picked up at the awards table after you finish.

The 6.55 mile loop is nearly all single track trail, 1 lap for the Quarter and 2 for Half Marathon. This course design allows us to see the runners more frequently and contain the safety and security of the runners more effectively.
Water Stop Info:
- The 6.55 mile loop has 2 water stops, for those that are doing the half there is an additional stop at the start/finish area.
- Each stop provides water and Gatorade (or equivalent)

Registration
If the event is not sold out, race day registration will be available. Make sure to check race details for specific pricing and times.
In all races, children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to participate.
For trail events, we may require additional running experience in order to allow entries for children under 12 to register. Please us the "Contact Us" form if you have questions about your younger runner.
Raceday Information
Course closes to new lap starts at 11:45am (after this time, half marathon runners will not be allowed to start a new lap). Race cutoff is 2:00pm.
There is parking available in the park. Use the beach area lots first. Parking along the road is ok, but do not drive on the grass.
Portables Only, at the start/finish and each aid station.
You think the Itsy Bitsy spider cared about the rain or snow? No, it climbed up the spout again. If it rains or snows, be like Itsy Bitsy. You got this!
Please wear your bibs on the front torso area. DO NOT COVER YOUR RACE BIB WITH ANYTHING! Hydration vests and other items covering your number may cause the timing chip not to read. All distances are chip timed by RaceResult bib tag system. The chips are attached to the back of your bib and are disposable so we do not need them back. Results are available immediately following your finish online, scan your race bib number to view your results.
As you finish your race, results are posted online and found by scanning the QR code on your race bib number. Please check your results before you leave. PLEASE PICK UP YOUR AGE GROUP AWARD AT THE EVENT - WE CANNOT MAIL AWARDS.

Yes, sort of to help get everyone started safely. In order to spread out runners and reduce the “hole-shot” backup, we will start racers in waves of approximately 30-40 racers at a time. This will be a chip timed start, your time does not start until you cross the line.
Yes. If you selected a shirt during registration, you will be given the shirt size you selected at that time. If you would like a different size, please come to the packet pickup table at 9:35am (sizes and quantities are available on a first come/first serve basis). Please check your shirt fit before you leave as we cannot make exchanges once the event is over.

Yes, there are few excellent spots where spectators could watch and cheer. They can even join the part at the finish and lap area.
A staff photographer will be taking photos along the course and at the finish line. Visit WinterTrailFrosty.run after the event to search for your photos. ALL PHOTOS ARE FREE TO DOWNLOAD! Post away!
The use of headphones is discouraged but allowed. If you do run with headphones, it is required that you keep one ear free to be able to hear safety vehicles, fellow participants and course officials.
While we love dogs too, for the safety of the racers, staff and volunteers, dogs cannot come race with you.
Transfers, Refunds, Cancellation
Transfers, Refunds, & Race Packets | Please read before registering
This event does not offer refunds or deferrals. If you are registered for the event, you agreed to the no refund and no deferral policy prior to submitting your online registration. This includes those who experience illness, injury or any other condition that may prevent them from participating in the event. Race Insurance is available as an option via FanShield during registration. Additional options are below:
Option 1 (Transfer): We do allow you to transfer your race bib to another participant. All transfers must be started by end of day Tuesday, February 16 and completed by end of day Wednesday, February 17. After that time, all transfer options are completely closed (sorry, to be fair there are no exceptions). Shirts and any other event related merchandise will NOT be mailed to those that do not attend. If you would like to transfer your race bib to another participant, follow this video for instructions.
Option 2 (Pickup your race packet):
If you can't participate, you are welcome to pick up your race packet yourself or have a friend pick it up during packet pickup. Please note that finisher medals are earned by crossing the finish line on race day and are not included in your race packet, no exceptions. We do not mail medals or race packets after the event.
If you need to change your race distance, please follow these instructions. Please note there is an upgrade fee if you want to change from the quarter marathon to the half marathon. All participant race distance transfers must be completed by end of day Friday, February 19th.
No. Our events are live, in-person experiences only. We do not offer virtual events or mail finisher medals to participants who are unable to attend.
No, we offer live events only. Only those that complete the run (or walk), will receive a finisher medal.

REFUND POLICY: All entries are non-refundable. Once we receive your entry, you will not receive a refund for any reason, even if you cannot participate. Please see options above if you cannot attend.
CANCELLATION POLICY: The participant acknowledges that the registration is only a license to participate in the event. There is no guarantee as to any element of the scheduled event. The scheduled event may be cancelled, shortened or altered due to weather, other acts of God, terrorism, or for any other reason or reasons within or not within the control of Trinity LLC, whether in whole or in part. There are no refunds for any reason whatsoever. The registrant understands that these terms are a condition of the entry fee and agrees to register subject to these terms.
